DAY 01: BALTRA-STA CRUZ

Flight from Quito or Guayaquil to Baltra´s airport. Welcome to the Enchanted Islas.

A bilingual English naturalist guide will be waiting an upon your arrival the guide will take you to visit the highlands , you will reach to a farm to enjoy a lunch and afterwards visit a Tortoise research . Continue to Puerto Ayora to check in at your Hotel.

DAY 02 & 03: NORTH SEYMOUR OR BARTOLOME OR PLAZAS OR SANTA FE.

NORTH SEYMOUR: 

North Seymour is a small island close to Baltra. It is an extraordinary place for breeding birds, and is home to one of the largest populations of nesting blue-footed boobies and magnificent frigate birds. The frigates are huge, dark aerobats with a 90-inch (2.3 m) wingspan. Land iguanas also frequent in the area. Galapagos mockingbirds and yellow warblers are often spotted. Back in our dinghy, we head to Mosquera islet, in the channel between Baltra and North Seymour. Here we can find a large sea lion colony, full of pups, bulls and females of different ages

BARTOLOME ISLAND

This island without doubt is one of the most known in Galapagos for the spectacular and perfect panoramic view you can have from the highest point of the famous Pinnacle Rock. After hike up around 600 meter wooden boardwalk and stairways you will reach to the top of this hill and you can appreciate the increidvle view over two beautiful bays. Time for magnificent pictures.

Following we will go down and take a dinghy ride around the coastline to see Galapagos penguins and hawks resting on the cliffs. A perfect spot for snorkeling activity.

 SANTA FE

Santa Fe is a small island just 24 meters high and 60 km2 of sea level , which is almost an island whose single central place of a visit incredible bay protected by a natural barrier turquoise rocks on which colonies of sea lions and hawks flying appreciated.

Santa Fe is home of a great population of terrestrial iguanas including the Santa Fe yellow iguana, as well as the inky-black marine iguanas. During a hike forest you will easily observe giant cactus and the endemic land iguanas close to them, sometimes looking for their fruit food. You can also observe crabs, night herons , sea iguanas , mockingbirds and ground doves.

PLAZAS

South Plazas is a small island off the east coast of Santa Cruz Island. It is home of red billed tropic birds and swallow tailed gulls. It also has prickly pear cactus trees , land and sea iguanas living in the same island, giving rise a unique population of hybrid iguana. Depending on the season the ground vegetation changes its colour from green in the rainy season to orange and purple in the dry season.

DAY 04: PUERTO AYORA – ISABELA

Transfer from Hotel to Deck In PUERTO Ayora.

We will take the ferry boat to Isabela.Arrival and transfer to your hotel at Isabela

DAY 05: SIERRA NEGRA VOLCANO

For this excursion you must wear closed or trekking shoes, a raincoat for the rainy season, sunscreen and enough water. The first part we will do on a vehicle, after 30 min. in the car we arrive to El Cura from this site we will start the hike with the guide in the middle of mountainous area but on a path in good condition. We will make an easy ascent of approximately 40 minutes, and we will reach the first sight of the imposing Sierra Negra crater. During 45 minutes, we will walk along the edge of the crater to make the best photographs of an unrepeatable experience. During the walk we will receive the interpretative explanation of this geological system by our naturalist guide.

We will do a short break to have our box lunch so then we will make a descent towards volcano Chico. On this site, we will look up the volcanic rock formations than looks like a moon landscape of many colors with small craters and fumes. We will need an additional two and a half hours to complete the return to the Cura and take the vehicle back to Puerto Villamil.

DAY 06: TINTORERAS / WETLANDS SYSTEM / WALL OF TEARS

Our day starts In Puerto Villamil, we will start with a panga ride (photograph from the same boat) to see penguins, blue footed boobies and different seabirds. Then we disembark to walk with the guide into the islets for approximately 45 minutes. In this spot we will watch species of sharks called Tintoreras and during the walk will see some large groups of adult and juvenile marine iguanas,sea lions. At the end we will have a time to snorkel and see the wonderful marine fauna like marine turtles, smalls rays, colored fishes, among others.

In the afternoon we will visit the Wetlands complex includes a visit to the Wall of Tears, Cerro Orchilla, El Estero, several lagoons associated with life in the mangrove swamp, Túnel del Estero, Playa del Amor and Laguna de las Diablas. All spectacular sites that will stay in your mind for ever.

 DAY 07: TRANSFER OUT

After breakfast we will pick you up from lobby of hotel to take you to Isabela deck.

Take the ferry to Puerto Ayora Arrival in Puerto Ayora transfer to Baltra airport. Flight to Mainland

We can make you also back by interisland flight from Isabela to Baltra airport, saving time.
